Report: Norway allows cargo ships to go for Russia's Barentsburg
MURMANSK, Jul 6 (PRIME) -- Norway has issued a pass for the containers with products and equipment for Barentsburg, the Russian settlement on Svalbard, TV company NRK reported on Wednesday citing the Foreign Ministry.
"Two containers with cargo for Barentsburg are on board of a Norwegian ship which is heading to Longyearbyen (capital of Svalbard)," the channel reported citing spokeswoman for the ministry Ane Lunde.
The official said that the delay in cargo shipment was caused by sanctions rather than a premediated effort of Norway to stop the supplies.
